Your Role:
The Property Accounting Manager role is responsible for day to day activities and overseeing the team to support of our single family residential portfolios, including month end close, implementing process improvements, and staff development. This position is based in our Plano, TX office and will report to the Director of Accounting – Property Management.

•Lead and oversee the Property Accountants in the following areas: revenue recognition, accounts receivable, cash collections and application, and lease accounting.
•Review and approve bills, vendors, journal entries.
•Supervise, review, and approve month end close for assigned areas of responsibility including bank reconciliations and major account reconciliations.
•Provide necessary training to new staff.
•Support internal and external audits by providing requested supporting schedules and documentation.
•Collaborate with operations team to develop and create process efficiencies designed to streamline accounting functions.

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
•5+ years of accounting experience
•Real estate experience and/or CPA preferred
•Proven track record of successfully managing a team of staff
•Highly proficient in MS Suite including MS Excel
•Strong analytical skills
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Process oriented
